Reading

Today we did 3 tasks called: table mat, making connections, and synthesis.

First we did our table mat. We wrote our prior knowledge. Prior knowledge is something that you already know in the book. Next we had to find facts. We needed to find four facts that are in the book. 

Next we had to write our keywords. We had to find six keywords that are in the book. Then we had to write our key questions.

Our second task was making connections. There are three columns called: Text to self, text to text, and text to world. Text to self is linking with something you did. Text to text is linking a book with another book. Text to world is linking something that has happened in the world.

Lastly we did our synthesis. We put our prior knowledge in and our facts. Next we had to write 2 or 3 things that we learnt in the book.
