Problem Solving

I completed a task called problem solving. The question that I solved was 7 x 14. The strategy I used was place value.

The first step I did was highlight the keywords. Next I chopse three strategies to help me figure out the question. Afterwards I wrote down the equation to solve the problem. For example:

The place value strategy:

7 x 14 = ??

7 x 10 = 70

7 x 4 = 28

70 + 28 = 98

After solving the question all the answers came up to 98.

I enjoyed this task because I learned a lot about how to use different strategies when it comes to solving big questions.
