SSR selfie
Today I did SSR selfie
First I read a book for fifteen minutes.
Next I have to answer the questions.
Lastly I had to insert the book photo.
SSR selfie is a easier way of learning new things in the book.

Bronze Confidence
Today for badge bidding I earned a bronze confidence badge. What I did was sharing ideas with my reading group about rahi and the patupaiarehe. I felt proud and happy when I got the badge.
Swimming
Today for swimming we learnt to float on our back, and dolphin kicking. Our coaches name was James. First we practise how to swim without moving our arms.
Then we practise floating on our back. First we had to keep our arms out so we can move faster.
We had to keep our heads facing the roof so we can breathe. Lastly we learnt how to dolphin kick. We have to dive in the water then we have to wiggle forward and back.
I enjoyed swimming and learning new skills.

Legend of Rahi
For reading we learnt about inferring/infer. Inferring is when you guess facts and observation.
For reading we did a task. The task is where we have to write a fact or opinion. Then we had to guess write what happened in the story. We made one for rahi and one for the patupaiarehe.
The next task was called character trait. We had to write and summarise what the character has done. For example: Rahi was trying to save his wife from the patupaiarehe. Then we have to describe what rahi and patupaiarehe have done.

Synonyms
A synonym means that a word nearly means the same to another word. Synonyms also mean the same thing but have different spelling. We have been talking about verbs, nouns, adverbs, and adjectives.
A verb is an action word. A noun is a name of something. A adverb is describing how something happened. A adjective is a describing word. We had to find verbs, nouns, adverbs, and adjectives. Then we had to choose a word to make a poster.
We also had to find synonyms that relate to each words. The word I chose was cold.

Multiplication
Multiplication is a faster way of counting the same number. For example 6 + 6 + 6 + 6 + 6 + 6 + 6 is counting the number seven times. So 7 x 6 = 42.

Tangrams
Today I learned how to make tangrams. I rearranged the pieces to make animal
shapes.
First I made a square piece of paper because tangrams are made from a big square.
Then I folded the square into various shapes and cut them out. Lastly I tried to make different animal shapes from the tangram pieces.
I had fun making animal shapes and it was hard making different kinds of animals.

Multiplication
Multiplication is a faster way to count a lot of the same number. For Example: 5 + 5 + 5 + 5 + 5 +5 is counting 5 six times. So 6 x 5 = 30.
