Maori Questions

I completed a task called Maori questions.

This task is about creating your own question and answers. When you are creating your questions always start with: Kei hea te ...? Then your answer would be: Kei ... i te ...

For example: Kei hea te patara? Kei matou i te pouaka. Patara means water bottle and pouaka means box.

On my slide you will see the photos, questions and answers and there will be arrows pointing at the objects and telling you what that object is in english.

I enjoyed this task because I got to make my own questions and answers to show what they mean.

Basic Facts Boxes

I completed basic facts boxes multiplication. This task is where you have to answer all the questions quickly and to try and get a good time.

For my basic facts boxes I got all my answers correct and my time was 3 minutes and 25 seconds.

Next time for my goal is to do basic facts boxes subtraction up to 100.

Comment Thread

I completed the comment thread task. Comment thread is going on to other peoples blog and comment something nice about their work or blog post.

In a comment thread you should always start with a greeting. For example: Kia ora. Then you have to write a complement about their work. Last you have to ask a question.

Here is what I comment thread should look like.

SSR Selfie

I read a book about Sea & Sea life which was written by Laura Wade.

This book is about the Sea and Sea life underwater and what happens underwater.

The sea is made of salt water that contains every natural element known on earth - altogether more than 100 elements in the water.

The pacific ocean is the deepest as well as the largest. The deepest point in the ocean, and on earth, is the Mariana Trench at 11,303 metres above sea level.

I enjoyed reading this book again because I have learned lots about Sea and Sea life.

Story Arch

I completed a story arch about a book called the Three Little Pigs.

First I wrote down the orientation which talks about the story line.

Next I wrote down the inciting incident which is the main event that happens with the charcters.

Afterwards I wrote down the rising action or problems which are problems that happen in the story.

Then I wrote the climax. The climax is the main part of the story.

Next I wrote the success or failure. The success or failure is if something went the right way or the wrong way.

Lastly I wrote the resolution. The resolution is fixing what has happened so things are normal.

I enjoyed doing this task because I explained the different parts of Three little pigs.

Tuesday Workout

I completed the tuesday workout. The exercises were wall sits, squats and burpees.

The first exercise I did was a. A wall sit is pretending your sitting on a chair and keeping your back straight on the wall and keeping your feet still so you don't fall and hurt yourself.

The second exercise I did was a. A squat is going up and down with your back straight and your feet still and pretending your sitting on the toilet.

The last exercise I did was burpees. Burpees are going up and down like squats but when you go up you have to jump as high as you can and for going down you have to a quick press up.

This workout was quite challenging because the wall sits were making my legs shake.

Identifying Fractions

I created unit fractions and fractions by representing with pizza slices and squares.

First I did unit fractions. unit fractions are fractions that only have one in the numerator. I created the unit fractions with pizza slices and squares.

Next I did normal fractions. Normal fractions have any number on the numerator and any number on the denominator. I also showed normal fractions using pizza slices and squares.

This task was kind of challenging in the normal fractions section.
