Skimming and scanning

For reading we learnt about skimming and scanning.

Skimming is to look through and reading the scentences and getting ideas from the book. Scanning is looking through the book to find keywords.

We used this stratgey on a book called ( Meet the Kakapo ) 

First we had to find 4 facts about the Kakapo. For example: Kakapo's are extremely rare. Next we had to write our prior knowledge which means we had to describe the kakapo. 

Next we had to find 6 keywords. Then we had to pick 2 keywords and find the definition of what that word means. Afterwards we had to 2 images to describe the word that we defined.

 After we had to write 2 key questions to the author.
